Welcome to the Airport in a Bucket section

The Airport in a Bucket concept:

Airport in a Bucket is a loosely integrated suite of IT solutions with specific application at small to medium airports. Some of the software modules and solutions are provided entirely free of charge in an Open-Source/GNU agreement. It is believed and hoped that the IT departments of airports, are best positioned to add to and improve on these solutions.

The Airport in a Bucket concept will if required facilitate any required operational database for the interlinking of these modules.

The Airport in a Bucket Operational Database (ABOD) project will define:

  • Hardware and Open-Source Operating System and database specifications
  • Database fields and data types/classes
  • Where applicable common API definitions
